For Fitness Challenges This Week We’re Sweating With Richard Simmons
I asked you to name the best home workout you’ve done so far, and every week this month we’ll all pick one to do together. It’s going to be old but good this week (thanks SafetyCynthia ): Richard Simmons.
Simmons has a YouTube channel full of gems , including playlists with five-minute and 10-minute workouts. If you’ve never tried it before, you might want to take a look atthis intro, which shows the basic movements you’ll see over and over again.
I look forward to filming these videos because Simmons is contagiously positive. His videos may be cheesy, but there is a reason he was so popular. You can enjoy them ironically or sincerely, I don’t care, just enjoy them.
I’m saying we’ll start withthis 10 minute clip of Sweatin ‘to the Oldies and then move on to what you want. I’ll probably go through a 10 minute playlist; don’t forget that you can always put videos together if you have more time. We’ll get back together on Friday to talk about how it went and choose a new workout for next week.
