How to Watch Live Streams From Instagram on Your Computer or TV
Now that we all spend a lot more time inside, we have a lot more time to watch live content – and suddenly a lot more live content appears, especially on Instagram. However, watching videos on your phone isn’t always a perfect experience. But you can actually watch these Instagram Live videos from your computer and even on your TV if you have the Instagram Stories Chrome extension .
The extension was created by a third party, not Instagram itself, but it works great. To use it, you need to first install it by launching Chrome and clicking the “Add to Chrome” button on this page .
After that visit Instagram and now you will see Instagram Stories at the top of the page. If someone you follow is currently streaming their story, their story will appear first. To watch, just tap on it in the same way you would on their story on your phone.
For normal history viewing, you also need to use the arrows next to each history entry to navigate; it will not advance automatically as usual.
If you want to watch on an even larger screen than your computer, you can also share the stream to your TV using Chromecast or Airplay if you have an Apple TV.
