How to Mentally Prepare for the Opening

While many of us may have become accustomed to this “new normal” during a pandemic, getting back on the street when regions begin to reopen can seem overwhelming.

To help us adjust to entering society, or at least this new version of society, author Sharon Salzberg offers some tips on how to consciously leave home and be around people again. She emphasizes that it’s okay to feel drained and remind yourself that it is restoring your energy and motivating. She also reminds us to stop and take a few deep breaths if needed. Most important, however, is that you feel comfortable asking for help and remaining vulnerable to others – remember that we are all adapting to this together.
