How to Share Your Screen on Facebook Messenger

Facebook Messenger now lets you post other open apps, browser tabs, photos, videos, and more during video calls. And even better, you don’t have to wait for it to hit your preferred platform: the new screen sharing feature is now available for Android, iOS and desktop versions of Messenger, Messenger Rooms, Workplace Rooms, and any other Facebook app. where you can make a video call.

Naturally, this feature works slightly differently depending on your device. Desktop users can choose to share specific apps, browser windows, or their entire desktop, while mobile devices broadcast whatever is currently open on their screens.

The number of participants is limited depending on which service you use. Regular Messenger calls will allow you to broadcast your screen with eight other people in a single call, while Messenger Rooms currently allows 16 people in screen sharing sessions. Facebook plans to increase that limit from 16 to 50 in the coming weeks and will add additional controls for messaging rooms so that whoever created the call can set limits on who can share their screen.

For now, however, all call participants can show their screen at any time during a call.
