Take Online Cooking Lessons With Celebrity Chefs to Charity
This year, after spending all this time at home, many people began to cook. While some are just getting started with the basics like eggs (harder than they seem!), Others, more experienced home cooks, are taking on new, more complex projects. If you fall into the second category – or just enjoy watching highly skilled chefs at work – you might be interested in Airbnb’s latest online experience: Small Cooking Classes with Celebrity Chefs. No, it’s not free, but they all cost $ 100 or less, and the proceeds go to various charities. Here’s what’s available and how to complete the lessons.
How to sign up for an online lesson with a famous chef
The biggest name associated with this project is probably David Chang, founder of Momofuku . For $ 100, you can spend one hour with the chef (and nine other virtual class members) learning how to cook from one pot . The small class size allows students to interact with the teacher and ask questions. All proceeds from Chang’s classes will go to the LEE Initiative Reboot Relief Program , which supports small farmers and helps restaurants reopen after COVID-19.
As Afar points out , the trick is to visit the Airbnb website and check when the class locations you want to attend are on sale. The chefs offer a limited number of classes, and since they are for 10 people, they will be fast. So bookmark this page , set a reminder on your phone, or do whatever you need to do to take a seat.
