Exchange Your Old or Expired Car Seats at This Month’s Discounted Target Price
If you have old or expired car seats gathering dust in your basement, keep the date: Target’s popular car seat replacement program returns at the end of this month for two weeks. Target will recycle the old seats for you and give you a 20 percent discount coupon for an upgrade in return.
Target is hosting a car seat exchange event from September 13th to 26th. You can leave your old, damaged or expired car seats in a dedicated box at any participating location ( click here to find a car seat near you ). They accept all types and styles of child seats, convertible seats, car seat bases, seat belts and car booster seats.
Guests ditching their old seats will receive a 20% discount coupon on a new seat, stroller or baby equipment for in-store and online shopping.
Here’s what you do, according to the Target website :
1. Take the old car seat or stand to the nearest target and drop it into a special box inside the store.
2. Open the Destination Application to scan the code on the box. If you need help, speak with a team member at Guest Services.
3. Open your Wallet in the Destination Application and browse “Additional Deals” to find your coupon and additional contactless savings.
4. Click the green check mark next to the offer and place your order online or scan the barcode at the checkout.
Since launching the car seat exchange program in 2016, Target says it has partnered with Waste Management to have recycled around 14.4 million pounds of car seat materials.
