Calm Your Anxiety With These Election Day Discounts and Free Gifts
As you may have heard, Tuesday, November 3 is election day. Maybe you’ve already voted by mail or were queuing up to vote early, or maybe you’re getting ready to give up your ballot on Election Day. Whatever method you choose, many companies offer discounts and discounts on election day to encourage people to participate in the democratic process (and gain some publicity).
Here’s what you need to know about deals on everything from transportation to voting venues to free donuts to relieve stress.
Transport
Not everyone has a car and / or access to public transportation (or, if they do, they might not be comfortable taking one right now), so here are a few other ways to get to the polls.
Uber
The ride-share app offers a 50% discount on round trip trips (up to $ 7 per ride or up to $ 14 for two rides). This also applies to bicycles and scooters. More information and conditions here . They also have an in-app feature to help you find a place to vote.
Lyft
On Election Day, Lyft is offering 50% off a single ride up to $ 10 to any poll or Dropbox with the 2020VOTE code , including their bikes and scooters in select cities. The code is valid on November 3, 2020 from 4:00 am to 11:00 pm local time.
Hertz
Get a free rental day when you book 2+ days in one of the districts of Hertz (ie. Outside the airport) with promo code # 210350. To take advantage of this, you must pick up your rental on Monday (November 2) or Tuesday (November 3). and your booking period should be between two and 28 days. One way rentals are excluded. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance so that time is ticking.
Food
Technically, you can plan ahead and set aside an entire day off with food and snacks on election day. We are not suggesting that you do this, but it is possible.
Baked Melissa
From October 24th to November 3rd, Baked by Melissa will be offering customers who voted to buy a 10% discount at all stores. Customers can either show their official “I Voted” sticker, or simply tell a partner that they voted to receive the discount.
Bobo
On November 3rd, Bobo’s is offering 2,000 free bars for those who voted. All they have to do is provide their basic information and a photo of their “I voted” sticker to receive the coupon.
Boston market
Receive one free slider from 9:00 pm to close at all Boston Market locations nationwide on Tuesday November 3rd, no purchase required. Options include Chicken Cheddar, Indian Cheddar, Chicken Chipotles, or BBQ Meatloaf sliders.
Enlightened
Mention the word “vote” and tag @eatenlighten on Instagram on Election Day and Enlighted will send you a free ice cream coupon. They will also randomly select one person to win the Enlightened One Year’s Free Dessert.
Dash door
DoorDash will provide free shipping on all orders with a minimum $ 15 amount placed on Tuesday November 3rd nationwide under the promo code “VOTE”. For DashPass subscribers who already have a $ 0 shipping fee for orders over $ 12, DoorDash is offering a 10% discount of up to $ 5 on orders with a minimum value of $ 12 placed on November 3rd with code DPVOTE. Customers can enter codes at checkout to take advantage of the promotion. Both offers are valid until 11:59 p.m. PST on Nov 3 or while stocks last.
GrubHub / Seamless
Food delivery services will offer multiple deals on election day . Just tap the “Perks” tab in the app to see what’s available in your area. At the very least, there is a growing list of restaurants offering free shipping for $ 15 or more, including 7-Eleven, Boston Market, BurgerFi, Clean Juice, Del Taco, Luna Grill, and On the Border.
Jimmy John
The sandwich shop offers 8 “or 16” BOGO sandwiches with a 50% discount until November 8th . Use the promo code “SAVEON2” at checkout to complete the deal online or through their app.
Krispy kreme
Anyone can stop by Krispy Kreme on Tuesday and get a free glazed donut – even without the “I Voted” sticker. In fact, they will give you a sticker if you were unable to obtain one at your polling station. Plus, they’ll have their regular October Saturday deal tomorrow where you buy one dozen donuts and get another dozen for $ 1, and anyone who puts on a Krispy Kreme suit on October 31st gets a free donut.
McAlister’s Deli
Join the McAlister’s Rewards loyalty program and receive a coupon for the BOGO Sandwich, which will be added to your account on November 3rd.
McDonald’s
While the deal is technically unrelated to an election, customers can try the new Apple Fritter, Blueberry Muffin, or Cinnamon Roll for free from Nov 3-9 for free when purchasing any Premium Roast or Iced McCafé coffee of any size. To redeem this gift, order your McCafé in the McDonald’s app (any time of the day) and choose from three new McCafé baked goods. Offer is available once a day, every day of the week, at participating restaurants nationwide.
Pyology
From November 1 to November 3, a bundle discount will be available across the US on Election Day 2020 : two Create Your Own 11-inch pizzas and a shared dessert for $ 20.20.
Pizza for Polls
Voters in long lines can take a snapshot of the line, send it here , and when possible, the non-partisan, nonprofit Pizza for Poll will offer pizza and other snacks delivery.
