Amazon has slashed the price of its latest Fire TV Stick 4K , dropping it from $59.99 to $24.99, which, according to price-tracking sites , is the lowest price ever. At this price, it’s an affordable way to stream 4K content on an older TV or boost the performance of a slow smart TV. And since this streaming stick is only 3.6 inches and is powered directly from your TV’s USB port via the included cable, it can sit discreetly behind your TV without taking up an extra power outlet.
Despite its small size, it supports 4K streaming over Wi-Fi 6, as well as HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG for improved contrast and color on compatible TVs. What it doesn’t have is Dolby Vision or Dolby Atmos audio. If either of these are important to your home theater system, the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus , currently priced at $39.99, is worth considering for an extra $15.
