The Apple Watch Series 10 Is Currently $120 Off.
Amazon has slashed the price of the 46mm Apple Watch Series 10 (GPS + Cellular) from $799 to $679, saving $120 on the titanium model. While it’s no longer Apple’s newest smartwatch, the Series 10 still has plenty going for it: PCMag gave it an “Excellent” rating , an Editor’s Choice award, and named it the best Apple smartwatch of 2024. Much of its appeal stems from its design, which is thinner and more comfortable to wear than the Series 9, with a larger, always-on OLED display that provides more space to read notifications and messages without making the watch too bulky. The titanium case also gives it a more refined look than most smartwatches , especially if you plan to wear it for more than just workouts.
Cellular data is especially useful if you sometimes leave your iPhone at home, as an active carrier plan allows you to make calls, reply to messages, stream music, and receive notifications directly on the watch, even when your phone isn’t nearby. In practice, this means your phone could be on the kitchen counter during your morning run or a quick trip to the store, and you’ll still be able to answer a call from work or contact someone if something goes wrong. The watch also supports Apple Music playback through the built-in speaker, although for longer listening sessions, it’s probably better to connect wireless headphones .
The watch offers similar health tracking capabilities to the Apple Watch: it records heart rate and sleep, takes an ECG, and measures blood oxygen levels, and uses an accelerometer to detect breathing irregularities overnight, which may indicate sleep apnea. Swimmers also get a depth and water temperature sensor, handy for determining whether you’ve sunk a few feet below the surface while snorkeling or how cold it is in a lake after a dive. As for battery life, PCMag recorded around 36 hours in testing (though regular LTE use can drain the battery faster), which is decent for an always-on smartwatch, but still inferior to the Apple Watch Ultra 2. You’ll also need an iPhone to use the watch, as the Series 10 doesn’t work with Android devices .
