Garmin watches are my favorite training companions. This brand has long been one of the world’s largest manufacturers of durable sports watches and fitness trackers, and the Forerunner line is especially popular for its accurate and reliable GPS tracking for runners.
So, looking at the date on my Garmin Forerunner 970 , I see that Amazon’s October Prime Day sale has officially ended. But if you missed the chance to upgrade your running watch, you’re in luck: two of Garmin’s most popular Forerunner models are still discounted, even after Prime Day has officially ended.

The Garmin Forerunner 55 is now $161.99, down from $199.99. It’s the most basic Garmin running watch you can buy new. Don’t let the word “basic” scare you off. As my colleague Beth Skwarecki reports, it was good enough to help Sebastian Sawe break the two-hour marathon barrier earlier this year.
The Garmin Forerunner 165 is now on sale for $199.99, down from $249.99. It’s my favorite entry-level running watch . The music version is also on sale; as always, it’s $50 more than the standard model.
While not a dramatic price reduction, the Garmin Forerunner 265 is 5% off, bringing the original price of $449.99 down to $429. While it’s no longer the latest and greatest, it remains a popular choice among Garmin users. It’s a step above entry-level models, with dual-band GPS, power meter compatibility, and advanced analytics (like training status).
I’ll also be keeping an eye out for other Garmin watch deals that are still going strong after October’s Prime Day sale.
