The RingConn Gen 2 Air smart ring costs $159.20.
RingConn makes some of the best free smart rings on the market. I tested the second- and third- generation rings and found them to be decent at tracking sleep and lifestyle, though they weren’t always great at tracking workouts. (I’ll add the standard caveat: rings are never good workout trackers .) Anyway, the second-generation Air is currently on sale. It’s a simplified version of the second-generation ring, but frankly, you’re not missing much—just sleep apnea monitoring and a few days of battery life. The Air still offers 10 days of battery life, so it’s a worthwhile tradeoff if you’re looking for an affordable smart ring.
The Garmin Forerunner 165 is $50 off.
If you primarily need a versatile daily fitness tracker but also value an accurate and feature-rich training watch, a model from the lower-end Forerunner lineup offers both at a great price. The Forerunner 165 is now $199.99 , down from $249.99. It’s an entry-level model from the previous generation of Forerunner (they’re currently releasing the 170 ), but I wouldn’t call it outdated. Garmin watches age well, and the 165 is a reliable choice that will serve you well for years to come.
The Polar Loop smartband is on sale for $30.
Polar makes a screenless smartband called the Loop , which typically retails for $199.99 but is currently on sale for $169.99. The Polar Loop looks like a slightly more stylish Whoop. While I liked the physical design during my testing , I was disappointed with the app (it’s rather basic). However, it doesn’t require a subscription and might be just the minimalist tracker you’re looking for.
The Fitbit Charge 6 fitness tracker is on sale for $26.
The Fitbit Charge 6 fitness tracker typically retails for $159.99, but it’s currently on sale for $133.49. That’s about right—I’ve seen the price fluctuate by a few dollars throughout the day. I think it’s a decent tracker if you only need the basic features, but I didn’t like that it limits music playback to YouTube Music and requires a phone to use for payments and cards. Still, it’s one of the best options on the market for fitness trackers with a screen that don’t look like a watch. And if you don’t need GPS, you can save some money and choose the Inspire 3 , which is on sale for $89.
The Garmin Vivoactive 5 smartwatch costs just $191.
If you’re looking for a device with a watch-sized screen but a lightweight fitness tracker body, I highly recommend something from the Garmin Vivoactive line. The Vivoactive 5 originally cost $299.99, and with the release of the Vivoactive 6, the price has dropped to $229.99. It’s still a great watch, despite being a slightly older model. This is another option where the price is constantly changing a bit—I saw it for $182 yesterday, and some models are as low as $198. But either way, the Vivoactive is a great buy for under $200.
