My Favorite Adjustable Dumbbells and Weight Training Bench Are on Sale As Part of the October Prime Day Sale.
Earlier this year , I shared how a Christmas gift I bought my then 15-year-old son —a set of adjustable dumbbells ($255) and an adjustable weight bench ($59.49)—helped me start regularly lifting weights for the first time in years. Now, as part of the October Prime Day sale , both items are on sale, and the dumbbells are even cheaper than I paid for them during last year’s Black Friday sale.
I’ve used both machines regularly for over nine months (plus occasional use by my now 16-year-old, 6’1″ son), and both still look and feel like new. The dumbbells can be adjusted in 2.3kg increments from 4.5kg to 24kg; the bench can be flat or adjusted to eight different angles, including an incline. I admit, I was skeptical about how the soft upholstery on the bench seat would hold up to months and years of use. I’d already addressed this issue by placing a blanket under the seat before use, but that’s probably unnecessary. Besides, just two days ago, I caught my son dropping dumbbells on the floor as if he were standing on a soft gym floor instead of a century-old basement floor with hard carpet, and they held up perfectly.
