Here Are the Best Prime Day Deals in October on Garmin Watches.

Garmin is the most well-known brand in the world of sports watches, and for good reason: they offer advanced measurement capabilities and reliable GPS tracking, typically with weeks of battery life. There was a time when I ran marathons without a watch, but now I always wear my Garmin Forerunner 970 on my wrist. If you’re looking to join the club or need a watch upgrade, here are the best Garmin deals from this year’s October Prime Day sale .
These Garmin Forerunner running shoes are currently on sale at a great price.
The Garmin Forerunner 55 is now $158, down from $199.99. It’s the most basic Garmin running watch you can buy new. Don’t let the word “basic” scare you off. As my colleague Beth Skwarecki reports, it was good enough to help Sebastian Sawe break the marathon barrier in under two hours earlier this year.
The Garmin Forerunner 165 is now on sale for $199.99, down from $249.99. It’s my favorite entry-level running watch . The music version is also on sale; as always, it’s $50 more than the standard model.
The Garmin Vivoactive 5 smartwatch is on sale for $100 off the original price.
According to my colleague Beth Skwarecki, Garmin’s Vivoactive line is perhaps the most underrated: “It’s great for running and activity tracking, and it’s also easy to use for everyday use thanks to the touchscreen for most functions (but it still uses physical buttons for starting, stopping, and counting laps).” The Vivoactive 5 originally retailed for $299.99, and with the release of the Vivoactive 6, it dropped to $229.99. It’s now just $199.99.
The Garmin Instinct Solar 2X is on sale for $180.
The Garmin Instinct 2X Solar tactical watch is one of the brand’s top solar-charging models, now available for $319.99, down from $499.99. Compared to its predecessor, the Garmin Instinct Solar 2X generates up to 50% more solar energy thanks to its Power Glass lens, which is especially useful in GPS mode, which can quickly drain the battery. It’s also 0.8 mm thinner and features a built-in LED flashlight, compass, and altimeter.
The second generation Garmin Epix Pro is almost halved in price.
The Garmin Epix Pro (Gen 2) Sapphire Edition is 47% off, dropping its regular price of $999.99 to $529.99. The reason for this significant discount is that Garmin merged the Epix and Fenix product lines, and this model was replaced by the Fenix 8 series, which in turn was replaced by the Fenix 9 series . However, the Epix Pro is still a solid performer. It tracks sleep and blood oxygen levels, measures VO2 Max, tracks 30 activities, offers a multisport mode, and offers additional features not found on most running watches, such as golf features, tide information, and fishing forecasts.
