As part of its Prime Day deal in October 2026, Amazon slashed the price of the 256GB Apple iPad mini (Wi-Fi + Cellular) by $100, bringing the compact tablet’s price down from $849 to $749. This is the model with the A17 Pro processor, which Apple introduced in 2024, and while the design will look familiar, the new chip gives the mini enough power to handle more demanding apps and games, and also supports Apple Intelligence. The 12MP front and rear cameras provide basic functionality, and the front-facing Center Stage camera helps keep you in frame during video calls. But what really sets this configuration apart from cheaper Wi-Fi-only models is support for 5G cellular connectivity. With a data plan, you can access the internet on the go without relying on public Wi-Fi or your phone’s hotspot, and Wi-Fi 6E is available for compatible networks at home or in the office. However, maintaining connectivity does drain battery life a bit, as Apple claims the mini gets 10 hours of web browsing or video playback over Wi-Fi and 9 hours on cellular, though actual results will vary depending on screen brightness and the apps running.
