The Bravia 8 II TV received an “Excellent” rating from PCMag for its excellent picture quality and center input, which allows the TV to be integrated into a surround sound system, using the built-in speakers for the center channel and leaving the other channels to the satellites. It is also one of the few high-quality OLED TVs to use Google TV as its smart TV platform and support the Google Assistant.

According to PCMag, the Wi-Fi 6E TV offers “satisfactory brightness,” though it doesn’t reach the level of competitors like the Hisense U8QG or Samsung QN90F . While this means it’s not the best choice for daytime viewing (though it does have an anti-glare coating), the Bravia 8 II makes up for it with deep blacks, excellent motion handling, vibrant colors, and best-in-class image processing. It also features a 120Hz refresh rate with VRR and an input lag of 16.1 milliseconds, making it a worthy choice for gaming, as well as watching sports, movies, and TV shows.
