If you’re currently having trouble logging into Twitch for a gaming session, you’re not alone: according to Downdetector, thousands of users are reporting issues with the online gaming platform .
The problems appear to have begun around 2:30 PM ET, when reports of access issues began pouring in. By 4:00 PM, the number had jumped to nearly 10,000 and remains high at the time of writing. Twitch has not yet disclosed the cause of the issue or given a timeline for a fix, and the service status page only displays the following:
Service Interruptions: We’ve received reports of service issues. These may include chat inoperability, login difficulties, degraded search quality, and more. We’re investigating the issue.
No further updates have been posted on the company’s social media accounts, including X. According to Twitch, the last major outage on the platform occurred two years ago , in August 2024.
