The company has unveiled new iPhones once a year since the release of its first smartphone in 2007. Of course, it remains a mystery exactly when Apple will make these announcements. Apple just announced its next major iPhone event.
Apple has officially announced the time and date for the iPhone 18 event. The event is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, September 9, at 10:00 AM Pacific Time. While Apple is inviting some media to attend in person, anyone can watch the livestream. Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Greg Joswiak, confirmed the event date in a post on X :

What will Apple announce at the iPhone presentation?
We don’t know exactly what Apple will unveil on September 9, but leaks and rumors give us some good guesses. Estimates suggest Apple will transition from the iPhone 17 to the iPhone 18 this year, while leaks suggest we’ll see the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and a foldable “iPhone Ultra.” (Rumors suggest Apple may delay the standard iPhone 18 until 2027.)
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will likely be standard upgrades to the iPhone 17 Pro series: improved cameras, larger batteries, new colors (including new “light blue” and “dark cherry”), a new A20 chip, and higher prices are expected. The star of the show will be Apple’s first foldable iPhone , which will share many of the same internal components as the iPhone 18 Pro but may come with Touch ID instead of Face ID and, of course, two display types: a smaller outer display that opens to reveal a larger inner display. This could become Apple’s most expensive iPhone yet, with a price tag exceeding $2,000, but we’ll have to wait and see when Apple officially announces its price.
