Firefox Can Now Block Ads on IOS (but You Need to Enable This Feature).

Firefox users on iOS can now eliminate a significant amount of ad noise while browsing the web on their mobile devices. Mozilla is gradually rolling out built-in ad blocking , which you can enable once the tool becomes available in your account.

According to the Mozilla support page describing the new feature, Firefox will block third-party ad networks and exchanges, as well as many third-party ads placed on websites at the network level. It will also block trackers, pop-ups, and ad-related overlays. However, the platform will still allow some advertising: for example, you will still see ads in search results from search engines like Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo, as well as sponsored content on the Firefox homepage and new tab page. Ads not covered by the EasyList filter may also appear.

Of course, Firefox isn’t the only browser that blocks ads on iOS. For example, DuckDuckGo and Brave have built-in ad blocking in their mobile apps and also allow you to disable native ads in search results. It’s worth noting that ad blocking functionality doesn’t extend beyond the Firefox app for iOS, but URL filters in iOS 26, as well as third-party apps like Wipr 2, can block ads in other apps .

What do you think at the moment?

Firefox states that this feature is currently “experimental,” meaning it’s not yet available to all users, so you may not see these options in your browser’s settings.
