Widely praised for its impressive battery life, the Google Pixel 4 is one of the best fitness trackers and smartwatches on the market, complete with built-in Gemini voice control. And as part of the Prime Day deal , the Google Pixel Watch 4 (41mm) with the Iris Active Band and LTE support is on sale for $345 (originally $449.99), reducing the price by more than $100.
The Pixel 4 smartwatch, featuring Google’s signature domed AMOLED display, is sleeker than many bulky Android smartwatches and offers top-notch health and fitness tracking thanks to Fitbit integration. Users can access sleep tracking, workouts, ECG, heart rate monitoring, and health metrics analysis. It also includes helpful safety features like fall detection and emergency SOS. One of the most significant improvements over its predecessor is the display, which features thinner bezels, more screen real estate, and increased brightness to 3,000 nits compared to 2,000 nits on the previous model.
The biggest advantage, however, is improved battery life. According to a PCMag review , in real-world use with the always-on display enabled, battery life reaches 56 hours, outperforming similar flagship models from Apple and Samsung. The 41mm model now features a 325 mAh battery (previously 306 mAh) and charges quickly, reaching a full charge from 5% in just 43 minutes. Unlike most smartwatches, which use a flat magnetic plate, the Pixel 4 charges while lying on its side in the stand, allowing it to be used as a bedside display.
The watch’s internal components and sensors have also been upgraded, including support for satellite communications thanks to a new chipset. Dual-frequency GPS improves location tracking accuracy compared to the single-band signal on the Pixel Watch 3. To use the Pixel Watch 4, you’ll need a phone running Android 11 or later , and some phone features, such as camera control and call screening, are exclusive to Pixel phones . However, most tracking features are compatible with any Android phone.
If you’re an Android user and want easy access to the Gemini, as well as a wide range of lifestyle and fitness features, the stylish Google Pixel Watch 4 with its curved display and impressive battery life is a top contender if you’re looking for a premium Android smartwatch, especially considering it’s over $100 off.
