How to Talk to a Real Person at Target Customer Service

Summer shopping season is here, and many retailers are running big Prime Day sales, including Target’s Circle Deal Days . That’s great, but what do you do if you have an issue with your Target order? It’s not easy, but here’s the best way I’ve found to get in touch with a real Target customer service representative over the phone.

The best phone number to contact Target customer service.

If you Google Target’s customer service number, the first number that comes up is 1-800-440-0680. However, getting through to an operator on that number is difficult, if not impossible. In my experience, calling 1-800-591-3869 eventually connects you to a customer service agent.

If Target recognizes your phone number

A prerecorded message will automatically open your most recent Target order and ask if you need assistance. Regardless of the reason for your call, press 1 to confirm that you need assistance. You’ll be offered additional options to narrow down the reason for your call, but if you don’t select any options, Target will automatically connect you to a live agent who can assist you with everything related to your account.

If Target doesn’t recognize your phone number

If your phone number isn’t automatically linked to your account, you may be asked to press 1 to receive an offer or enter your phone number. If you receive a message with a promotional offer, ignore it, and a representative will eventually respond. If you’re asked to enter your phone number, do so. Target will then connect you with a representative who will verify your information and send you a confirmation email. Once verification is complete, this representative will be able to assist you with any questions regarding your account or order.

What do you think at the moment?

Unlike Amazon , Target does not offer a call back service.
