This Sonos Beam Soundbar Is Currently Discounted by Over $200.

On Woot, the price of the first-generation Sonos Beam has dropped to $260.93 for an open-box unit, which, according to price-tracking sites , is the lowest price this soundbar has ever sold for. By comparison, the same model still costs around $488 on Amazon , where its price has never dropped below $299. The “open-box” label here is also less risqué than it seems. Woot claims the packaging may have been opened for testing or demo purposes, but the soundbar itself is new and still under the standard 12-month manufacturer’s warranty. Shipping is free for Prime members , and an additional $6 for everyone else. The promotion runs for the next four days or while supplies last.

Although this is an older Beam model from 2018, it still performs surprisingly well if your primary goal is to improve your TV’s sound without cluttering the screen with a huge soundbar. It’s compact enough to sit comfortably in front of most TVs without obstructing the display, and it has a sleek design unlike many bulkier soundbars. More importantly, it works with Alexa, AirPlay 2, Siri, and Google Assistant, and fits seamlessly into a Sonos multi-room system if you already have other Sonos speakers.

What do you think at the moment?

Sonos has packed four full-range drivers, a tweeter, and three passive radiators into its compact design, resulting in a richer and more detailed sound than most built-in TV speakers. Dialogue is clear, and movies have noticeably improved depth and bass, all without the need to purchase a separate subwoofer. However, it doesn’t support new formats like Dolby Atmos, so you won’t get the same surround sound effects as newer premium models—but for apartments, bedrooms, or small living rooms, the Sonos Beam seems like a perfectly sized device.
