My Favorite Active Noise-Canceling Headphones Are $50 Off.

At the high end of the headphone spectrum, you have several options to choose from: Bose, Sony, and Apple. If you’re an Apple user, go for the AirPods Pro 3. If you value high-quality sound and want to hear every detail, choose the Sony XM6 headphones . If comfort, ease of use, and active noise cancellation (ANC) are your top pick, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2nd generation are a better choice. They’re currently $50 off on Amazon, bringing the price down to $249 (originally $299). (All five color options are on sale.)
I’ve been using the second-generation Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones for almost a year now , and they remain my favorite. While I love the ability to fine-tune every detail of the sound, something consistently draws me back to their simplicity and ease of use, despite the many other options available to me as a tech reviewer.
Active noise cancellation (ANC) is best in class, as it has been throughout the history of the Bose QuietComfort line. Multiple microphones capture ambient sounds and adapt the ANC accordingly, making the Transparency mode quite impressive, while the Immersive Noise Cancellation mode allows you to hear every detail in any sound, making the lack of a full-fledged equalizer more palatable. The accompanying Bose app, meanwhile, is excellent and regularly updated.
The main drawback of these headphones is the high price, but at $249, they actually represent excellent value compared to the competition. If you’re looking for simplicity, the best active noise cancellation, and comfort, you won’t be disappointed with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2nd Generation headphones.
