Spotify Is Unavailable.

If you tried to launch Spotify today to listen to a song or podcast and found the player endlessly loading, you’re not alone: Spotify is down. The company confirmed the issue on the Spotify Support page on X , posting, “We’re aware of some issues with the app and are investigating!”
However, you didn’t need to see that announcement to know about the outage. Anyone trying to access the service right now will encounter a roadblock. I can access my library, but when I try to play a song, I see the playlist bar loading over and over again. Downdetector, owned by Lifehacker’s parent company, Ziff Davis, is currently displaying tens of thousands of user reports confirming this .
Service outages are common these days. Most platforms and services experience outages sooner or later, and in most cases, connections are restored relatively quickly. The issue doesn’t appear to be related to cloud providers like AWS or Cloudflare, as Downdetector doesn’t currently show many other apps or platforms experiencing issues. We don’t know exactly what’s causing this outage on Spotify, but barring something unique, the company’s software team will soon identify the issue and release a fix. I expect Spotify users will be able to listen to music again soon.
