The Top 10 Movies Available Right Now, According to Streaming Services.

In April, the top 10 most popular films by viewership included films of a wide variety of styles and genres, so, as they say, there’s something for everyone. If you enjoy stylistically polished horror, don’t miss “Dust Bunny.” If you enjoy minimalist thrillers, you’ll love “Apex.” If you enjoy sports films, “Marty Supreme” is for you—or you can simply rewatch “The Devil Wears Prada” before heading to the theater for the sequel.
The Maid (2025)
Paul Feig’s “Maid” is a psychological thriller inspired by action films like “Gone Girl” and the genre classic “Vertigo.” Based on the 2022 novel by Frieda McFadden, “Maid” follows a classic plot: Millie (Sydney Sweeney), a young woman with a secret past, takes a job as a maid for wealthy couple Nina (Amanda Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar). Millie soon discovers that the nice couple who hired her are hiding some very dangerous secrets. Perfect for fans of escalating tension and gripping plot twists. Watch “Maid” on Starz .
The Devil Wears Prada (2006)
Following the long-awaited sequel’s theatrical release, people are streaming the original classic online in droves. The film remains stunning. Meryl Streep earned an Oscar nomination for her iconic performance as Miranda Priestly, the ruthless editor-in-chief of Runway magazine, and Anne Hathaway delivers a stunning performance as Andi Sachs, a young journalist with a lot to learn about the fashion world. Watch The Devil Wears Prada on Disney+ , HBO Max , Hulu , and Fubo .
Crime Basics (2025)
As the title suggests, Crime 101 is a lesson in creating the perfect crime film. Chris Hemsworth plays Mike, an elusive and talented robber known for his non-violent heists and lack of evidence. Hot on his trail is Lou, played by Mark Ruffalo, a seasoned detective obsessed with solving a series of high-profile robberies. Lou is the only one in the LAPD who believes there is a connection between the crimes. Halle Berry plays Sharon, an insurance broker who teams up with Mike to help him rob her wealthy clients. Watch Crime 101 on Amazon Prime .
Marty Supreme (2025)
Based on the true story of table tennis player Marty Reisman, Marty Supreme is a fast-paced sports drama set in the world of professional table tennis in the 1950s. Timothée Chalamet plays Marty Mauser, a brash table tennis prodigy. Gwyneth Paltrow plays Kay Stone, a wealthy woman who becomes embroiled in Marty’s world. Marty Supreme is arguably the most successful table tennis film of all time, receiving nine Academy Award nominations and a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes . Watch Marty Supreme on HBO Max .
The Running Man (2025)
Based on the 1982 novel by Stephen King (writing under the pseudonym Richard Bachman) and directed by Edgar Wright, The Running Man is a dystopian sci-fi action film set in a near-future where the most popular television show is a deadly reality show where contestants must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional killers. I hate to admit it, but I would love to watch that show, and you should definitely watch the movie. Watch The Running Man on Prime Video , Paramount+ , and MGM+ .
Apex (2026)
In this modern take on “The Most Dangerous Game,” Charlize Theron plays Sasha, an elite rock climber seeking adventure in the Australian wilderness. She gets much more than she bargained for when she meets Ben, played by Taron Egerton, a twisted predator whose favorite pastime is hunting and killing strangers. Don’t miss this tense, gripping, and thrilling film. Watch “Apex” on Netflix .
28 Years Later: Temple of Bones (2026)
Filmed concurrently with 28 Years Later (2025), Temple of Bones shifts the series’ focus to the nature of evil in a post-apocalyptic world. Alfie Williams plays Spike, a young man captured by a sadistic cult led by Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal, played by Jack O’Connell. Meanwhile, Dr. Kelson, played by Ralph Fiennes, conducts experiments on “alpha-infected” subjects in the Temple of Bones. If you enjoy clever horror and/or have a soft spot for the undead, don’t miss this film. Watch 28 Years Later: Temple of Bones on Netflix .
Bugonia (2025)
I love it when a weird film finds a wide audience, and “Bugonia” is exactly that. Jesse Plemons and Aidan Delbis play a pair of misfits who kidnap a powerful pharmaceutical executive (Emma Stone) because they think she’s an alien. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, who made the excellent 2023 film “Poor Things,” which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture, it’s a must-see, even if you’re a little weird. (And if you’re looking for even more weirdness, the film is based on an even weirder South Korean film called “Save the Green Planet .”) Watch “Bugonia” on Peacock .
Mike, Nick, Nick and Alice (2026)
In this energetic time-travel comedy, James Marsden plays “Quickshot” Mike and Vince Vaughn is his friend Nick, a mob hitman about to retire. Their world is turned upside down when another version of Nick appears from the future to warn Mike that he’s being framed and will be targeted by a cannibalistic killer known as “Barron.” It’s perfect for fans of dark comedy that blends elements of various genres. Watch “Mike & Nick” and “Nick & Alice” on Disney+ and Hulu .
Dust Bunny (2025)
Bryan Fuller’s feature debut is a family horror film with a dark, fairytale atmosphere and an unforgettable monster under the bed. Mads Mikkelsen plays a dangerous hitman, Sigourney Weaver is his handler, and Sophie Sloane is a little girl who thinks the monster has eaten her family, so she recruits the hitman to help her kill it. If you enjoyed Fuller’s previous works, like Hannibal or Pushing Daisies , then Dust Bunny is a must-see. Watch Dust Bunny on HBO Max and Hulu .
