Bugonia (2025)
I love it when a weird film finds a wide audience, and “Bugonia” is exactly that. Jesse Plemons and Aidan Delbis play a pair of misfits who kidnap a powerful pharmaceutical executive (Emma Stone) because they think she’s an alien. Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, who made the excellent 2023 film “Poor Things,” which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture, it’s a must-see, even if you’re a little weird. Mike, Nick, Nick and Alice (2026)
In this energetic time-travel comedy, James Marsden plays “Quickshot” Mike and Vince Vaughn is his friend Nick, a mob hitman about to retire. Their world is turned upside down when another version of Nick appears from the future to warn Mike that he’s being framed and will be targeted by a cannibalistic killer known as “Barron.” It’s perfect for fans of dark comedy that blends elements of various genres. Dust Bunny (2025)
Bryan Fuller’s feature debut is a family horror film with a dark, fairytale atmosphere and an unforgettable monster under the bed. Mads Mikkelsen plays a dangerous hitman, Sigourney Weaver is his handler, and Sophie Sloane is a little girl who thinks the monster has eaten her family, so she recruits the hitman to help her kill it.
