This Mid-Priced Portable Projector With Detachable Speakers Is Now on Sale for $160.

The Anker Soundcore Nebula P1 portable projector has dropped from its usual $799 price to $639, making it its lowest price ever, according to price tracking sites . The articulated housing does most of the work—instead of stacking books or adjusting furniture to get the right angle, you tilt the projector head itself until the image aligns with the wall or screen. It sounds simple, but in practice, this makes setup faster and less tedious, especially in smaller spaces.

Detachable speakers expand setup options. Each produces 10 watts and can be positioned closer to your seat, creating a wider soundstage than you’d expect from a compact projector. The rear panel features simple ports: HDMI 2.1, USB-A, AUX, and USB-C for power, enough to connect a console, laptop, or streaming device. The software runs on Google TV, and the included remote has a built-in microphone and dedicated buttons for YouTube, Netflix, and Prime Video, making switching between apps quick. A more significant limitation is portability. There’s no built-in battery, so using it outdoors or in another room means carrying a power source, somewhat diminishing the convenience intended by the design.

What do you think at the moment?

In terms of image quality, this projector’s 650 ANSI lumens brightness works best in a dark room, where colors appear pure and bright scenes are richly saturated. However, when the lights are turned up, the image quickly begins to lose its punch. Furthermore, while the Soundcore Nebula P1 outputs at 1080p resolution using pixel shifting and looks sharp with most content, small text and small UI elements can appear slightly fuzzy around the edges. Setup is largely hands-off, with automatic keystone correction and focus activated upon power-on, but features like screen fit and collision avoidance still rely on the Nebula app rather than being performed directly on the device. This gets the job done, albeit not as smoothly as fully automatic systems.
