This is the sequel to the Boombox 3, and JBL hasn’t tried to reimagine it. Instead, it builds on existing successful ideas. You still get a large, portable speaker designed for outdoor use, with several updates designed to keep it relevant, including Bluetooth LE and Auracast support. This simplifies connecting multiple speakers or improves streaming efficiency if you’re using newer devices.
This speaker is built for long days outdoors. It’s lighter than before, but still not so bulky that you’ll forget it, and the plastic handle makes it easy to move around the yard or take to the beach (though it doesn’t feel as premium as the older metal model).
