That’s the good news. The bad news is that FCC regulations regarding foreign-made routers are coming into effect. Like most routers, the AXE75 is a “foreign-made router,” but these regulations only apply to future authorization of completely new models. Since the Archer AXE75 is already an authorized, existing model, you can legally purchase and use it without fear. But there’s a catch: the FCC has authorized security updates for these models until March 1, 2027. After that, there’s no guarantee they’ll be supported. TP Link says it plans to move production to the US . If that happens, the FCC is expected to extend its authorization, and the device will be supported. But no one can say for sure.
