A Set of Four of These Samsung Trackers Now Costs $45.

If you lose something important, it inevitably happens at the worst possible moment—for example, your keys disappear just before you need to leave the house, or you can’t find the remote just as the big game is starting. Bluetooth trackers can solve exactly this problem, and now is the perfect time to grab a few at a discount: a set of four Samsung Galaxy SmartTags 2 is currently $44.99 on Woot, down from $55.99 on Amazon .
The set includes four trackers. Prime members receive free standard shipping, while everyone else pays $6. However, shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and PO Boxes is not available. According to Woot, the promotion will last just over three weeks or until supplies last, whichever comes first. According to trackers , this is roughly the lowest price these trackers have ever reached.
Each tracker weighs less than half an ounce, and as PCMag’s review notes, Samsung redesigned the case, adding a larger, reinforced metal loop to make it easier to attach to bags, bikes, or pet collars without the need for a separate holder. The SmartTag 2 uses Bluetooth Low Energy to connect to your phone when you’re nearby, so you can activate an audible alert to help track anything in your home. If the item is further away, the tracker can still display its location via Samsung’s SmartThings Find network, which uses nearby Galaxy devices to anonymously update the tracker’s location. Some newer Galaxy phones also support Ultra Wideband (UWB), which adds directional guidance on the screen, so you can approach the tracker when you’re nearby.
The tracker itself is IP67 rated, so it can withstand rain, dust, and even toss it in a gym bag without issue. Samsung also uses a replaceable battery that lasts about a year, so you won’t have to replace the tracker every time it runs out of power. However, the main drawback is that this tracker is designed for the Samsung ecosystem, as it only works with Samsung Galaxy phones or tablets running Android 9 or later and uses Samsung’s SmartThings Find network. If you use an iPhone or another Android device, this tracker won’t work for you (Apple’s AirTag works better with iPhones, andthe Tile Pro is a more flexible option for families with multiple devices). However, for Galaxy users, using the tracker is simple, and the tracking network works well in crowded areas.
