Nothing Open-Back Headphones Are Now $50 Off.

Open-back headphones are gaining popularity, perhaps because active noise cancellation (ANC) technology has become so advanced that people forget what birdsong sounds like (or is it just me?). Nothing is a relatively new brand that has had a good start, producing quality products at an affordable price with excellent features that are quite competitive with more established brands. The Nothing Ear (Open) is their first open-back headphone for 2024, and it’s currently priced at $99 ($149) for Prime subscribers, its lowest price ever, according to price tracking tools .
The Nothing brand offers many features in its products typically found in more expensive devices. The Nothing Ear (Open) headphones are no exception. These headphones feature multipoint connectivity, allowing you to connect them to your phone and laptop simultaneously. They also feature a “Find My Earbud” feature that plays a loud sound through the headphones to help you locate them (this is different from and incompatible with Apple’s “Find My Earbud” feature). There’s also a 120-millisecond low-latency mode for gaming, ensuring audio stays in sync with your actions. If you’re using a supported Nothing phone, this feature is automatically activated, and there’s also ChatGPT integration, which you can access directly through the headphones.
The battery lasts for eight hours, and the charging case provides an additional 30 hours of playback after a 10-minute wired charge, giving you two hours of listening time. The Nothing Ear (Open) headphones feature a microphone with AI technology that reduces ambient noise for better audio clarity. The companion app also features an advanced equalizer feature for customizing the sound. The sound is impressive for an open-back design—just don’t expect powerful bass, according to a PCMag review, which rated them “excellent” (though this applies to all open-back headphones).
