Nintendo’s 2025 Results Are Finally Out, and They Contain a Few Surprises.

It’s not about who gets to the flagpole first, but who does it in the most style. Following in the footsteps of PlayStation and Steam , Nintendo has finally released its annual report, so you can view your Switch and Switch 2 stats through 2025 and, as it turns out, even see data on time spent playing, dating back to the first time you turned on your Nintendo Switch system.

The mid-January release of the annual Nintendo Switch review was a bit late, as last year it came out in mid-December. However, since Metroid Prime 4 came out shortly before, I understand why Nintendo might have decided to wait until this year. Furthermore, the delay gave those who received Nintendo Switch 2 consoles for the holidays time to review the stats before the end of the year.

Like last year, Nintendo’s 2025 survey is accessible through a browser rather than a dedicated app. Simply go to the survey page , sign in to your Nintendo Account, and scroll down to see all your stats.

If you started playing on the Nintendo Switch 2 this year, you’ll get a little congratulations, and then the real fun begins. Below are a few examples from my year-end review, but bear with me—I play most of my games on PC, and when I do play on Switch, it’s mostly on my husband’s account. Honestly, I spend my free time doing more than just watching short YouTube videos until I fall asleep.

So, first, you’ll see the total number of games and hours spent playing, and then you’ll get a shortlist of the games you’ve played the most. After that, you’ll see a breakdown by genre and month, and then comes the coolest part. You’ll be able to choose your personal game of the year from the games you’ve played, and it will appear on a card you can share with others.

However, there’s a catch: Nintendo’s data doesn’t end in 2025. Instead, if you continue scrolling, you’ll see when you first started playing on a Nintendo Switch system, as well as your most-played games for each year you’ve played on Switch. Hover over a game to see its stats, or click the “View Your Stats” button in the lower right corner to see detailed stats for that year, broken down by your most-played games, favorite genres for that year, and playtime by month.

What do you think at the moment?

At the end, you’ll get a short video to share with a quick overview of your entire Switch gaming history, showing when you first started playing on Switch and/or Switch 2, which games you’ve played most often, and how long you’ve played each one.

In that sense, Nintendo’s year-end review is more of a console review, but I guess that makes sense—the original Switch is still in production, and the Switch 2 came out last year.

In any case, it’s always nice to see these reviews focus on more than just music. And Nintendo still managed to beat Xbox to the punch with a 2025 review, as sources speaking to Windows Central reportedly say Microsoft is skipping one of these reviews.
