I’m a huge fan of hair dryers—powerful, versatile tools that use air to dry, smooth, straighten, volumize, and even curl hair, cutting down on the time and effort it takes to look presentable after a shower. I used to swear by my beloved Dyson Airwrap , but lately I’ve been using the Shark FlexStyle instead. Forget the Dyson hype—this thing is fantastic, and it’s now much cheaper, too.
The Shark FlexStyle is still on sale during Cyber Week, reduced from its regular price of $350 to $200. If you’re looking for a tool that can do it all but don’t have an unlimited budget, this might be the one for you, and it won’t even feel like a compromise.
Shark FlexStyle is a real find right now.
Right now, you can get the FlexStyle, a large air nozzle with five different attachments, for $199.99 instead of $349.99, the lowest price ever, according to price trackers . For comparison, the basic Dyson Airwrap model is also on sale for $500 . In short, this is the best deal you can get on a hair dryer, and it’s quite comparable to more expensive models and brands.
Here’s what you get with the FlexStyle: two 1.25-inch curling attachments (one clockwise, one counterclockwise); an oval brush attachment; a paddle attachment; and a blow dryer attachment. The device also features four heat settings and three airflow settings, as well as a unique feature that allows you to rotate the top half to create a right angle (like a traditional blow dryer) or stay straight (like a standard curling iron).
Why I Love the FlexStyle (Even Compared to My Dyson)
A few weeks ago, my Airwrap broke. I haven’t had a chance to take it in for service yet, but it’s four years old and was refurbished when I bought it, so maybe its time has come. The thing is , its time seems to come often: at Thanksgiving, I was lamenting the fate of my Airwrap, and two other women at the table chimed in and said they were having the same problem—their devices had simply stopped working properly. Considering the top-of-the-line version costs $750 , replacing mine was out of the question.
Instead, I decided to try the FlexStyle, and I’ve had it in my apartment for a week now. To my surprise, it works just like my Airwrap, with a few key differences. First, it’s more powerful than my four-year-old Dyson, though frankly, I can’t compare it to a brand-new model. Second, the rotating head makes drying my hair significantly faster—the first night, I created standard curls with the 3.5-centimeter attachments but didn’t style them, hoping to see how they would hold up on their own. They held their original shape for about a day, which is longer than the Airwrap and better than I expected for curls I didn’t style.
Since then, I’ve tried different attachments. I used a round brush for a traditional blow-dry, which stayed frizz-free for over a day (thanks, of course, to products like Color Wow and K18 ), and I also curled the ends of my hair with a barrel curling iron and then styled it for hold and volume. That’s when I was truly impressed: the rotating attachment made this styling significantly easier than with the Dyson. I’ve been using it for two days now and haven’t had any problems.
A cheaper but decent alternative to Dyson
In my opinion, you don’t need to pay $750 for a blow dryer. You don’t even need to pay $500. And with the current discount on FlexStyle, you don’t even need to pay $350. This thing works great, creates long-lasting styles (though you’ll still need to use products and hold your curls in place, since it doesn’t rely on magic or wishful thinking), and it’s lightweight and easy to use. Highly recommended.
Which stores have the biggest sales during Cyber Week?
With both large retailers and small businesses competing for Cyber Week shoppers, you can expect virtually every store to be running sales until Monday, December 1, 2025, and beyond. The “best” discounts depend on your needs, but in general, the biggest discounts tend to be offered by large retailers that can afford lower prices, such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and Home Depot. You can find all the best sales from major retailers on our blog .
Are CyberWeek’s offers worth it?
In short, yes, Cyber Week still offers discounts rarely seen during the rest of the year. If you’re shopping or looking for gifts, now is the time to look for deals on essentials, especially tech , home goods , and fitness equipment . Of course, if you’re looking to save money, the best way to save is to buy nothing.
Are Cyber Week deals better than Black Friday?
Black Friday used to favor large retailers and higher-end appliances, while Cyber Monday favored cheaper appliances and gave small businesses the opportunity to compete online. However, today, this distinction has become virtually meaningless. Every major retailer runs sales on both days, so it’s best to know what you need, use price trackers, or consult guides like our blog, which uses price trackers, and not worry about finding the perfect time.
