Place Virtual Baby Grogu in Your Home
If you haven’t brought Baby Yoda / Grog / Child into your home for the holidays yet – whether in the form of a giant stuffed animal, a walking toy, or simply obsessive revisions of The Mandalorian – there is another … option … (borrowing Yoda’s dramatic phrase from The Return Jedi ): Use your Android phone to throw the virtual Grogu into your physical space.
No, your virtual buddy won’t offer the same loving warmth as aflesh and blood little alien baby friend fucking with your spaceship , but that’s something. To get started, make sure your Android is running the latest version of the operating system – and all your apps are up to date, why not – and launch Chrome or the Google app. Do a quick search for “Baby Yoda” (or “Grogu”) and you should see this option in Google’s little facts block:
Click on “View in 3D” and you will get this beautiful enlarged image of the Baby. Make sure you turn up the volume as Grogu will make their trademark gurgling sounds. (Sort of. They sound a little different from The Mandalorian .)
From there, click View in Your Space to bring the galaxy’s most desirable child into the home. You will likely be asked to confirm several permissions, and then you will need to point your phone to the ground for augmented reality to work. But when you do that, Grogu will appear, gurgling and all.
And it’s all! You can try pinching it to make it a little bigger and smaller, but I’ve never seen it do too much. In fact, your goal should be to place him in as many silly conditions as possible and take a lot of photos. Also, I’m not sure if it’s strictly canon, but I didn’t know The Child was about the same height as the Blue Yeti mic. If so, then I think the most amazing thing about Grogu is that he manages to avoid injury. This sleepy little enforcer has a great track record.
