AirPods 4 without active noise cancellation are available for $84.99 (original price: $129.99)—the lowest price ever, according to price tracking tools . The active noise cancellation earbuds are priced at $149.99 (original price: $179.99)—also the lowest price ever.
AirPods 4 feature updated USB-C charging. Both models are equipped with the Apple H2 chip, which delivers personalized spatial audio (allowing you to hear sounds as if they’re coming from different directions when you move your head) and the ability to answer calls and respond “yes” or “no” to Siri using head gestures. Apple added live translation to the active noise cancellation model with the release of iOS 26 earlier this year.
The main difference in choosing headphones without active noise cancellation is that you won’t get the charging case with a built-in speaker, which you can use with Find My to locate your AirPods if they’re lost. You’ll also miss out on features like Conversation Awareness, which lowers the music volume when the AirPods detect you’re talking to someone; Transparency Mode, which lets you hear surrounding sounds better when the AirPods are in place; and Adaptive Audio (a combination of ANC and Transparency Mode to adjust the ANC level based on ambient noise levels). But given that these features aren’t essential, the nearly double price difference makes the option without active noise cancellation a great budget option.
Both versions feature IP54 dust and water resistance, provide up to five hours of listening time on a single charge (up to 30 hours with the charging case), and support automatic pairing with other Apple devices.
