As you probably already know, OLED TVs offer the best colors and contrast ratios money can buy. Of course, you’ll have to pay to experience the best (but you can still look for budget options ). However, the two biggest drawbacks of OLED TVs are that they can suffer from the notorious burn-in effect and that they aren’t as bright as QLED or LED TVs, making them better suited to dimmer rooms or movie theaters. But this looks set to change in 2025, at least in terms of brightness. The S95F can reach 1364 nits, which isn’t the brightest OLED TV, but it’s much better than most. Where it shines is in reflections. Its matte finish makes it the least reflective OLED TV, and combined with its brightness, it makes for an excellent daytime OLED TV.

HDR support makes this TV an excellent choice for watching movies and watching HDR10 and HDR10+-enabled TVs. Gaming is also smooth, thanks to a low 4.8ms input lag at 4K resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate, as well as a high 120Hz refresh rate (up to 160Hz is supported). PCMag praised the S95F’s advanced speaker system in its review, calling it “excellent” —just keep in mind that Dolby Vision for movies is missing. If brightness and Dolby Vision are important to you, choose the LG G5 ; but if you prefer a matte, anti-glare display and value high-quality sound, the S95F is a better choice.
