New to Prime Day? We’ve got everything you need to get started . Sales information is accurate at the time of publication, but prices and stock levels are subject to change.
Sometimes I wonder if my father had children just to help around the house—my childhood was marked by an ever-growing list of chores that seemed directly related to keeping me fed and sheltered. My favorite part was shoveling snow. We lived on a corner lot with a driveway, and every time a few feet of snow would fall on us, my father, warm and cozy in his robe, would roust my brother and me from bed and happily send us off to shovel the endless sidewalks and the driveway, which seemed to have grown larger overnight.
When I bought my house, I swore I’d never lift a shovel full of wet snow again. Now I don’t have to shovel as many sidewalks, but I still love my snowblower, and lately I’ve fallen in love with battery-powered electric snowblowers because corded ones are a nightmare and I don’t want to keep gas on hand all the time. So this Greenworks 80V Electric Snowblower is an easy buy, especially with a 43% discount on Prime Day.
It’s quite lightweight, making it easier to move than some of those gas-powered giants, and provides a full half-hour of runtime if the batteries are stored indoors (and, of course, this runtime can be extended by installing multiple batteries). It’s powerful enough to shovel snow and throws it a long way, so you’ll be surprised how much snow you can clear on just one charge. The batteries recharge in about half an hour.
