New to Prime Day? We’ve got everything you need to get started . Sales information is accurate at the time of publication, but prices and stock levels are subject to change.
I used to spend way too much time cutting everything by hand. Wood, PVC, copper pipe—I can’t explain it, I had this weird purist obsession with grabbing hand tools and working until I was sweating. When I finally broke down and bought a reciprocating saw, my life changed: it cut everything, quickly, and I was able to get so much more done.
But a full-size two-handed hacksaw can be too bulky for some jobs—like holding something with one hand while cutting, or when you’re squeezed into a tight space and there’s not enough room for a larger tool. So I went in search of something lighter and smaller, and found this gem: the Milwaukee One-Handed Reciprocating Hacksaw , which cuts like butter, weighs just 1.8 kg, and is easy to use even in hard-to-reach places. If you think it might come in handy, know that it’s 36% off during Prime Day (you’ll also need a Milwaukee-compatible battery and charger).
This thing is so lightweight that it’s easy to use (even with one hand) for long periods without getting tired. The brushless motor provides plenty of power, and I haven’t found anything it couldn’t cut. It runs quite smoothly—other reciprocating saws can buck when they hit an obstacle, but this one hasn’t—and the battery provides long runtimes. I’ve had to work in some pretty tight spaces in my small home, and having this option when larger tools are inconvenient has made many projects not only easier but even possible.
It’s a good value for the regular price, and at $118 on Prime Day, it’s even better, especially if you often find standard hacksaws difficult to control while completing projects.
