If You Have One of These ESR Power Banks, Stop Using It As Soon As Possible.

If you use an ESR power bank to charge your phone, you might want to stop now. The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling several models of the HaloLock wireless power bank due to the risk of the lithium-ion battery overheating and catching fire. So far, there have been nine reported incidents, resulting in $20,000 in property damage.

Here’s what you need to know about the affected models and how to get a refund if yours is one of them.

Which ESR power banks are subject to the recall?

The recall affects ESR HaloLock wireless power banks with model numbers 2G520, 2G505B, and 2G512B, which are located on the right side of the battery. The two previous models have kickstands. All come in navy blue, light blue, gray, black, and white, and have five circular LED lights on the side.

According to the recall notice, the recalled power banks were sold on Amazon.com, Homedepot.com, and Esrtech.com between September 2023 and July 2025. About 24,000 units were sold in the United States and another 9,900 were sold in Canada.

What to do if you have a recalled power bank?

If your power bank is one of the recalled products, you should stop using it as soon as possible. WayMeet’s distributor offers refunds, so if you want a refund, you’ll need to write “Recalled” on the device in permanent marker and email a photo of it to [email protected] (along with your order number, if available).
