Today Is Your Last Chance to Buy a Nintendo Switch OLED for $100 Off Before Prime Day Ends

Of the current-gen gaming platforms, I have an Xbox Series X, a PS5, and a PC. Somehow, I never bought a console from Nintendo. I’ve continued to track Switch deals to this day, and during Prime Day 2025, I finally found a good deal on the Nintendo Switch OLED. This model is four years old and has several quality-of-life improvements over the original Switch, which launched in 2017. At the right price, it might be worth considering as an option, even in light of the recent launch of the Nintendo Switch 2. Tonight (or until supplies last, whichever comes first), you can snag the Nintendo Switch OLED on sale for just $250 on Woot!, an Amazon-owned site. Or you can even get it with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for $275 .
While Woot! is a legitimate store and won’t rip you off, keep in mind that this offer is for international models. This means that these units were originally intended for sale outside the US, but due to some oddities with supply and demand, are now available in the States. Nintendo of America likely won’t provide the warranty you’d get with a Switch purchased in the US, which could be a deal breaker for some, but you’ll be able to play your games without issue. Additionally, Woot! offers a limited 90-day warranty, so if anything happens to your console within the first three months of purchase, you can contact the store for assistance.
However, once you buy it, you’re pretty much on your own. I have some experience with this, as Nintendo doesn’t have an official presence in India, where I live. Its consoles and games are available from some local retailers, but they have to import them from other regions. We don’t have warranty support from Nintendo, but overall we haven’t heard of too many Switch failures. If you’re willing to live with that risk, it’s a bargain for a console that will last for years to come.
The real question is: should you buy this Switch or save up for the Switch 2 ? If you’ve never owned a Switch or are looking to introduce the kid next door to Nintendo games, the Switch OLED is a great starting point for under $300. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe itself typically retails for $60, and it’s hard to find a deal that lets you get the game for under $40. That alone is guaranteed to give you hundreds of hours of fun multiplayer gaming. If you have the cash, I’d recommend saving up for the Switch 2, but since there aren’t many exclusives for that console right now, the Switch OLED can still play most of Nintendo’s best games. Plus, you’re unlikely to find a sale on this machine anytime soon.
