As far back as I can remember, my wife and I have always had at least five pets roaming the house at any given time. We love the strays, rescues, and furry beggars that show up at our door. As anyone with pets knows, this means our home is a fun place that is also constantly covered in a mountain of animal hair.
The battle against this animal detritus nearly drove me crazy for a while, and I turned to a fleet of vacuums that claimed to be designed specifically for my particular problem for help. The Shark NV572 is the one that finally put a real dent in this mess. It’s a great vacuum overall thanks to its flexibility, maneuverability, and power, but if you’re battling a shedding monster (or five), the included pet multi-tool is its standout feature.
Excellent universal vacuum cleaner
This isn’t a small vacuum, but it’s surprisingly lightweight, which makes the fact that you can separate the canister for carrying that much more useful. You can use the vacuum as an upright, then lift the canister up to handle stairs. It also has easy switching between hard floors and carpets, and offers a variety of attachments for crevices and upholstery. This is great because that pet hair just gets everywhere, and you haven’t lived until you realize your curtains are covered in shedding hair. Being able to easily clean them while you vacuum the rest of the house is almost a religious experience for a neat freak like me. The canister is large, so you can clean the entire house without stopping, and it has a built-in HEPA filter.
The Multi-Tool for Pets Is a Killer Feature
That’s all well and good, but as I said, it’s the multi-functional pet tool that makes this thing the best. It separates from the main body of the vacuum, allowing you to move it wherever you need to to pick up every strand of pet hair in your home. And it really does suck up pet hair effectively, removing it from any surface with relative ease. It’s highly rated for very good reasons.
