New to Prime Day? We’ve got the lowdown on everything you need to know . Sales are accurate at the time of publication, but prices and inventory are always subject to change.
The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro is one of the few gaming headsets that actually looks like it’s made for professionals. It can also last much longer than a full workweek on a single charge, thanks to a 70-hour battery. And right now, it’s cheaper than ever for Prime Day, down to $150 from its original $200 price tag.
I’ve tried a lot of gaming headsets over the years, and most of them suffer from one common problem: they look like gaming headsets. Whether it’s a bunch of RGB LEDs or some crazy, spiky design that says, “I’m the master of edges, and here are all my sharp edges to prove it.”
The BlackShark V2 Pro eschews this design principle, instead opting for a design that’s almost reminiscent of those old-school headphones that were in every classroom in the ’90s. The earcups are attached to the headset via sleek metal rods, and there’s a volume knob on the side that demands attention. It’s the gaming equivalent of a headset, like pairing your tailored suit with an expensive watch that doesn’t fit into the cuffs. Somehow, it all works.
If it just looked good, I wouldn’t care, but this thing works, too. Its battery lasts about 70 hours on a single charge, and it’s comfortable enough to wear for long periods of time. This headset usually doesn’t go below $170, but it’s now down to $150, a price it’s only reached once before. It’s available for both Xbox and PlayStation, so make sure you pick the right one for your console.
