Get a Free McRib Beard Shave
We may be a society (understandably) prone to skepticism and negativity right now, but fear not: help is on the way, in the form of a restructured boneless pork cutlet topped with sauce and served with pickles and onions on an oval-shaped bun. … That’s right – McRib made a triumphant return to McDonald’s. And this year it will not be one of those situations when “only in the areas”. For the first time in nearly 10 years, the beloved meat sandwich will be available in all 14,400 McDonald’s restaurants in the United States – and you can get one for free if you want to work on it.
Yes, as if the resurgence of McRib-like Brigadoon from McMists wasn’t enough to celebrate McRib enthusiasts, the network is also giving away 10,000 free sandwiches tomorrow for its official launch. Facial hair is also involved. Here’s how to get your hands on soon-to-be-coated gravy for free, one of these iconic fast food items.
How to get a free McRib
To celebrate McRib’s triumphant return and the end of November No-Shave, McDonald’s is giving away free McRib sandwiches tomorrow to the first 10,000 people to post a photo of their clean-shaven face on their public social media profile using the hashtag # shave4mcribsweepstakes and the @mcdonalds tag. (And no, posting it in your stories doesn’t count.) Lucky winners don’t even have to leave home to claim their prize: their McRib will be delivered in the form of a $ 15 credit to UberEats that can be exchanged for a McRib or other product through McDelivery on UberEats. “
So why a shaving part? According to McDonald’s , it is part of a No Shave November awareness and cancer research effort funded through an annual fundraising campaign. But why shave + McRib? “Our bearded fans know … facial hair and McRib are just incompatible – trust me, I’ve tried,” said David Tovar, McDonald’s vice president of US public affairs. (And of course, but that seems like a great way to alienate a significant portion of McRib’s fans.)
And don’t worry if your facial hair isn’t growing: getting rid of your beard isn’t the only way to get in. You can post a photo of your face after shaving or a relaxing face mask (a skin care product, not a controversial public health measure). So really, anyone can come in. Basically, you just need to post a photo of your face.
Here are the complete rules, terms and conditions that you should be aware of before taking pictures and posting this sleek selfie. The entry period starts yesterday and ends tomorrow at 11:59 pm ET, or whenever the 10,000 free McRibs are allocated, so grab your razor and get to work.
