The New Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 Are $50 Off Right Now

The Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 might make headlines for its heart rate monitoring feature, but it’s actually its worst feature . These new headphones, released in February, compete with the AirPods Pro 2 , as they typically have the same price. Right now, however, you can get the Powerbeats Pro 2 from Beats for $199.95 (originally $249.99) after their first major discount, according to price trackers .
Beats waited five years to update Powerbeats Pro . Those who have been patiently waiting for the new version (and now a good discount) will be rewarded with excellent workout headphones , as reviewed by Beth Skwarecki, costing under $200. The new ear hooks are smaller and made of nickel-titanium alloy, making them flexible and durable. There are four sizes of ear tips, so you can fit them snugly and take advantage of active noise cancellation (ANC) and sound quality.
Powerbeats Pro 2 is built for workouts, so it’s IPX4 waterproof and has a physical button for media controls (as opposed to touch controls). The charging case now supports wireless charging and is smaller than the previous generation’s giant case, but it’s still larger than the AirPods Pro 2. You can get up to 10 hours of battery life with ANC off and up to eight hours with ANC on (about double that of the AirPods Pro 2).
The H2 chip is the same one found in the AirPods Pro 2. Media automatically pauses when you remove the earbuds, and it has a heart rate monitor that performs worse on each earbud ( you can read more about this in Beth’s article ). Like many other Beats products, there’s no full EQ adjustment in the app, so you’ll be delighted with the punchy, bass-forward Beats sound.
