Pixel 9 is the latest in Google’s Pixel line of phones . They were released late last summer along with the 9 Pro and Pro XL , and the budget Pixel 9a came out in April this year. If you’re looking for the best value for money Pixel 9a, and perhaps Google’s best phone , as reviewed by assistant tech editor Michelle Ehrhardt, get the unlocked 128GB Pixel 9a for $499 with a $100 Amazon gift card. This is a great benefit that comes with the new Pixel at a hefty price.
The Pixel 9a comes with 8GB of RAM (which limits AI capabilities, but the Gemini is still usable), starting with 128GB of internal storage, a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, and Android 14 operating system. Its design no longer features a camera panel , which sets it apart from other Pixels. The battery can last around 30 hours, depending on usage, but keep in mind that Google will shorten the battery life . It feels lightweight and the screen is improved over older budget models.
As with other budget A-series Pixels, you’ll get a slightly weaker camera and chip, but they’re still good enough for most people. Considering the price is $150 cheaper than the Pixel 9, this could make it a much better value for people who don’t care about certain specs (especially with an additional $100 gift card from Amazon).
