How to Transfer Outlook Attachments to Microsoft Teams
Finally, you can drag and drop email attachments from Outlook to Microsoft Teams. Sure, it took almost five years for this feature to appear, but it’s here.
To move an email attachment from Outlook to Teams, start by opening the email in Outlook (with the attachment, of course). Click an attachment to highlight a file, and then drag it to the group chat to share. That’s all.
This might seem like a minor change to those who don’t use Outlook or Teams, but it annoyed users a lot. Prior to the new feature, you had to save an email attachment, open its location on the desktop, then click and drag it into Teams, or open it through the Teams file browser.
The new drag-and-drop file sharing between Teams and Outlook is just one of several new cross-applications that have recently been appearing in Microsoft applications.
The company is currently testing a new version of Outlook that will optimize the app’s appearance across all desktop and web platforms, including the default Windows 10 Mail app. In part, this optimization includes easy-to-find shortcuts and integration with other Microsoft applications and services, especially Office 365. As Microsoft continues to deploy the new Outlook, other features may appear.
New Outlook is still in the stage of testing and will not be fully implemented until 2021, but you can try out an early version of the application right now .
