How to Delete Old Comments and Posts from Your Reddit Account

To do this, log into your Reddit account, click on your username in the top right corner of the page, and select ” Profile “. Select the Messages tab at the top of the page, click the three dots icon next to any message, and select Delete . You can visit the Comments tab and do the same.
If you have too many posts to delete, you might want to consider using a tool like Power Delete Suite to remove everything from your Reddit profile. It’s a JavaScript bookmarklet, which means you can visit a website and drag the red Power Delete Suite button to the bookmarks bar in your browser.
When you’re ready to delete everything from your Reddit account, be sure to log in first and then click on the Power Delete Suite tab. You will see a prompt asking if you want to go to your user profile. Click Yes . The tool will show you a lot of options to check which messages you want to delete – you can edit the messages and replace them with unwanted text instead of deleting them, or edit and delete them. You can also filter out some subreddits and not delete gilded or saved posts.
When you’re done reviewing your options, click “Process ” and Power Delete Suite will start deleting everything from your Reddit account. After a few minutes, you will see that the process is complete, and then you can click ” Download exported items ” to save all your comments and messages.
How to Permanently Delete Your Reddit Account
Deleting your Reddit account permanently can be a little confusing because Reddit calls it deactivation, not permanent deletion. Rest assured, if you click the “Deactivate Account” button, your Reddit account will be gone forever.
To continue, go to your Reddit account settings and scroll down. Click the red Deactivate Account button.
Keep in mind that this process cannot be undone, so proceed only if you are sure that you will no longer need the account. You will see a prompt asking you to leave a review and a reason for the deletion, but you can ignore all of this and enter your username and password in the fields and check the “I understand that deactivated accounts are not recoverable” box. Click the red ” Deactivate ” button and click it again in the subsequent prompt. Congratulations, you have successfully deleted your Reddit account permanently.
