If you’ve been waiting to upgrade your action camera, the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro has just dropped to its lowest price ever, according to online price trackers . The Adventure Combo has been reduced to $369 from $449 and comes with a full complement of accessories—three extended-life batteries, a protective frame, multiple mounting options, a cap and lens protector, a battery case that doubles as a charger, and a 1.5-meter extension cord (handy for widescreen shots or selfie-style vlogs).

That’s a lot, but it makes sense if you’re shooting outdoors for long periods of time or need the flexibility to use different angles and settings. PCMag named it the best action camera of 2024 thanks to features like 10-bit D-Log M for richer color grading, crisp HDR video, and a front-facing OLED touchscreen bright enough for use in direct sunlight. The sensor size is also 1/1.3-inch, which is said to make a difference when shooting in low light conditions. It’s also waterproof to 20 meters without a case, and its image stabilization handles erratic motion surprisingly well—great for those shooting rough terrain on a mountain bike or filming themselves surfing. That said, if you’re more of a casual creator or don’t need all the bells and whistles, the Essential Combo will probably suffice. It costs $319, down from $339, and only includes one battery and core mounts, although it doesn’t have a horizontal-vertical protective frame. Same camera, fewer accessories. For day trips, vlogging, or amateur photography, it’s perfect without cluttering up your bag. Just keep in mind that battery life ranges from two to four hours per charge (depending on use), so having only one battery can quickly tire you out if you plan on shooting all day. However, it’s hard to argue with the performance packed into such a small body, especially at this price.
