How to Stream the Super Bowl Without Cable
Super Bowl LIX kicks off on Sunday, February 9 at 6:30 pm ET. This year’s game will be televised by Fox with a pregame show starting at 2:00 pm ET and game coverage beginning at 6:00 pm ET. Even if you don’t have cable, there are several ways, both paid and free, to watch all the action live from the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Watch for free on Tubi
The game, as well as pre- and post-game coverage, will be streamed for free on the Fox-owned Tubi channel, and will be available in 4K resolution on select devices (including Roku, Fire TV, Android TV and Apple TV). You’ll need to sign up for a Tubi account , but no credit card is required. Tubi also includes the NFL Channel for additional Super Bowl content.
Subscribe to a live streaming service
There are several streaming services with live TV, including Fox. Before you sign up, check the channel listings for your zip code to make sure Fox is available in your local market.
-
DirectTV Stream : $87/month for Entertainment plan, 5-day free trial.
-
FuboTV : The Essential plan is currently $60/month with promotion, 7-day free trial for new customers.
-
Hulu + Live TV : $83/month, 3-day free trial (includes Hulu ads)
-
YouTube TV : Currently $73/month with promotion, 5-day free trial for new users.
-
Sling TV (in limited markets ): $23/month.
When you sign up for a free trial, make sure you know when you’ll be billed for your paid subscription and cancel before the trial expires. The game will be available in 4K resolution for FuboTV and YouTube TV subscribers (included in the free trial, but at an additional cost or at a higher level in paid plans). The event will be broadcast in Spanish on Fox Deportes and Telemundo, which are also available on most streaming services.
Watch on air
Another (almost) free way to get the game is over-the-air (OTA) TV. Of course, this will require you to invest in a digital TV antenna and have a place to place it with good reception. You should check the FCC reception map to see what signals are available in your area and test your antenna before game day. Your experience may vary, so if you’re looking for a stress-free viewing experience, this probably isn’t the best option.
Other ways to watch the Super Bowl
You can also watch the game through the Fox Sports app if you already pay for Fox through a cable or satellite package or one of the TV streaming services listed above. The game will also be streamed via the NFL+ mobile app , which costs $7 per month to subscribe to.
