The Pixel Buds Pro are a little bulky, but that bulk actually works to their advantage: they fit snugly without requiring additional clips or wings. Plus, it comes with gel tips in three sizes (S, M, L) to help you find a comfortable fit. They support Bluetooth 5.0 and are compatible with AAC and SBC codecs, and the 11mm dynamic driver delivers the audio (and while you won’t get audiophile-grade sound, the sound quality is good for the price). They do a stellar job of canceling out low-frequency noise like airplane rumble, rivaling more expensive models like the Sony WF-1000XM4 ($278). However, according to this PCMag review , higher frequencies such as ambient noise are dampened less effectively, and there is a faint high-frequency hiss present during ANC. If you are looking for complete isolation, this may not be effective. Transparency mode, on the other hand, reportedly works great, allowing you to communicate or hear your surroundings naturally.

Capacitive touch controls on each earbud are intuitive, allowing you to control playback and calls with ease. However, customization options (via the app) are limited; you can only customize the touch and hold gesture. The app also offers features such as Google Assistant integration, device search, and switching between active noise cancellation (ANC) modes. The headphones are rated IPX4 waterproof, which means light splashes and sweat aren’t harmful, but don’t test them under running water. Battery life is stable: about seven hours with noise cancellation turned on and up to 11 hours with it turned off, plus additional charging from the case (according to the manufacturer). Your mileage may vary. Charging is convenient thanks to a USB-C port (though no cable is included) and support for Qi wireless charging.
