This Photo Frame TV Is Now $800 Off
When Samsung first released Frame TV , I thought it was just a novelty: a TV that doubled as a photo frame when not in use seemed to have niche appeal. The last thing I expected was for competitors to copy this idea. However, TCL’s Nxtframe TV was only introduced in August , and you can already find the 55-inch version for 53% off . It’s currently $697.99 on Amazon (down from $1,499.99), which is the lowest price it’s ever reached, according to price tracking tools .
The 65- and 75-inch models are also currently selling at their lowest prices ever, but they aren’t discounted as much as the 55-inch.
Like the Frame, the Nxtframe is a QLED 4K display with an anti-glare reflective screen and artistic outer bezels that give it a distinctive “frame” look. Unlike Frame, Nxtframe supports Dolby Vision on top of HDR10+, ensuring compatibility with a wider range of HDR content. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate with a 144Hz Variable Refresh Rate (VRR).
The TV is slim, 1.1 inches deep, and comes with a flush-mount wall mount, a free frame (light wood color, as seen in the product image from Amazon), and a pre-loaded art library. Unlike Samsung’s own Tizen OS, Nxtframe is loaded with Google TV, which I personally prefer.
One of the key differences between Frame and Nxtframe is that Frame uses an external One Connect Box to connect devices like a gaming console to keep the frame looking neat (no cables sticking out of the frame). Nxtframe requires all input and output ports to be directly connected to the backplate, meaning you’ll have to hide the wires in the wall if you want the wall to look nice.
However, saving $320 on Frame will give you some money to work with if you need to call a professional to get the Nxtframe set looking good. And if you are interested in this as a gift, it will arrive right now before the holidays.
