I Love This Smokeless Fire Pit and It’s $100 Off for Black Friday
I’ve been using a Solo Stove knockoff on my patio for the past few years and thought it was okay, if not entirely fair, from a smoke-free standpoint. Three months ago I upgraded to the real thing – the Solo Stove Yukon – and discovered that the knockoffs really don’t work at all. I just wish I could wait until Black Friday to get mine since they are currently 20% off, bringing the price down to $399.99 (originally $499.99).
The quality of a real single oven is immediately noticeable. From the moment the fire is lit, there is significantly less smoke. Lighting a fire is also much easier: the design is completely different: it consists of several layers that are easy to empty and clean, so there is never any ash left in the way, and there is more air flow when lighting under the wood.
Another thing that was really noticeable was the heat coming off the Yukon. It felt significantly warmer as we sat around it, helped by the Surround Lite I bought, which insulates the slab and makes it safe to touch. Now that I have a real solo stove, I can use the entire line of accessories including lids, lids and cooktops. I can turn my fire into a pizza oven if I want.
While I enjoy my fire all summer long, it is vital in the fall and winter when my friends and I take advantage of any dry day to gather around a warm fire after sunset and catch up. I was very impressed with how easy this thing is to start a roaring, truly warming fire with full-size logs.
